The seed for Maple Capital Partners ("MCP") was planted in 2017 when Marc Weisi and Gonzalo Trenosky started to pursue financial freedom through real estate investing. Early on, they had success with investing in residential (1-4 unit) assets, but they quickly learned that Maple's business model would have to change if the portfolio was going to achieve scale. Through hundreds of hours of diligent self-education as well as mentoring under seasoned, nationally recognized operators, Marc and Gonzalo built Maple Capital Partners. Today, they continue to grow and learn on every deal. We hope you can be a part of our story too.
We invest in multifamily commercial (5+ units) assets in B-C class neighborhoods throughout the United States. Our investment thesis is built upon providing superior service to our working-class tenants while sustainably maximizing returns to our investors. With the help of our service partners, we acquire underperforming assets from mom-and-pop owners, install professional management and streamlined processes, and execute on our business plan.
We choose to focus on B-C class areas in fast-growing metro’s because this segment of the labor force exhibits a large supply/demand imbalance throughout much of the United States. While there will always be a demand for affordable, safe, and clean housing, this need has never been as pronounced, historically speaking. There simply isn’t enough housing for the pool of tenants in this category. The imbalance is primarily due to factors such as demographics, lifestyle/preference changes, an affordability crunch due to stagnant wages, and housing supply shortages to name a few. Maple Capital Partners seeks to fill this void by providing a superior quality product to this tenant pool.
While we pride ourselves on our knowledge in this space, we also realize that there’s always more to learn. That’s part of the reason we love multifamily real estate syndication. Within our business network, we have access to top tier, nationally-recognized operators with thousands of units under management. As a result, on many deals, we may choose to partner with these operators to benefit from our mutual synergies. We look for strategic partners with years of experience in the asset class and a demonstrated track record of excellence and integrity. Our process of vetting sponsors is lengthy and exhaustive, but please reach out if you’d like to learn more about this aspect of our business.
